The Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT) is an Autonomous Institute of higher research functioning under the Ministry of education, Government of India. This is an Institute constituted specifically for carrying out higher research on Classical Tamil at international levels not to be found elsewhere globally. This unique Institute is functioning in Chennai since May 19, 2008. Earlier, from March 2006 to May 18, 2008, the Institute was functioning on the campus of the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore and it was called the Centre for Excellence of Classical Tamil.Among the 41 Classical Tamil Texts Four of them - iṉṉā nāṟpatu, iṉiyavai nāṟpatu, kār nāṟpatu, kaḷavaḻi nāṟpatu are grouped together under a common title Nāṉāṟpatu, meaning Four Forties. Totally forty veṇpā stanzas.An Android App was developed for Nāṉāṟpatu Texts, Transliteration, and Translations in English Verse and Prose. Two Verse translations and One Prose translation were present. These four individual works are presented in a single app.
